On Sunday, 16th August, 2015, LSU Tigers played a pre-season game against the Sydney Kings. This was part of LSU’s Tour Down Under, to showcase Ben’s talents to his native of Australia.

The game was played at Sydney University’s Brydens Stadium, with Simmons top scoring for LSU with  26 points. The game was won by Sydney Kings, with a late mid-range jumper by Steve Markovic to give the Kings a 97-95 lead with 3.6 seconds left on the clock. LSU’s Antonio Blakeney attempted three at the top of the arc missed.
